The Gloucestershire Badminton League organizes an annual
competition for local badminton clubs within and around
Gloucestershire. We are affiliated to Badminton England via our
county association,
Gloucestershire Badminton Association.
Please note however, the Gloucestershire Badminton League and
the Gloucestershire
Badminton Association are two separate organizations and act
independently of each other. The League concerns itself
principally with the annual competition amongst clubs in the
area. The Association deals with development, coaching and the
like as well as the county team playing within the the
inter-county league of the national competition.
The 2008/2009 begins in September 2008. This year we have 27
clubs entering 99 teams in our
various leagues; 45 mixed, 23 ladies and 31 mens.
We're grateful to Nicks Timberland of Gloucester who are
sponsoring the mens league once again. So, get down there on the
Bristol Road and buy some wood, a new door or a fence. |
